The Neighborhood

What's Going on in North Beach?

As North Beach gets revitalized, the neighborhood is perfectly positioned for significant appreciation over the coming years. With a possible new Whole Foods location, North Beach Yard providing a food and start up incubator for local businesses, the North Beach Business District's transition into a cultural center for the community, and the highly-anticipated Ocean Terrace, there has never been a better time to take advantage of Miami Beach's final frontier!

North Beach Yard

The Yard is an entrepreneurial hub and culinary incubator; a place where early stage start-ups can take advantage of nimble, lean and low cost approaches to launching new ventures. Our mission is to serve as a warm and welcoming community space that diverse people, from every walk of life, can call their own.

The North Beach Yard will act as a highly diverse, modernized community center featuring educational opportunities, fitness activities, a large array of food and beverage choices, shopping and entertainment all in one, central location.

With 35+ rotating small businesses employing over 200 people, and an estimated yearly attendance of over half a million, NBY is expected to be an economic engine for the neighborhood.

The recent vote has paved the way for a more walkable and dense neighborhood with new public spaces, housing, dining and retail. Mid-rise buildings would be approved up to 125 feet tall, roughly doubling the total building density.

Ocean Terrace

Ocean Terrace is among the most debated and anticipated redevelopment plans in recent Miami Beach history. The project will span a condo tower, hotel, storefronts, and the restoration of 11 historic buildings on Ocean Terrace and Collins Avenue.
